This evening I was making my blog rounds and got to Joanna's, clicked the link to read about the Manhattan wedding in a secret park, and found a friendly face! The pastor in this beautiful picture works at Redeemer Presbyterian Church here in Manhattan, where I regularly attend.

Last week I was able to take a little vacation back home to Michigan with my roommate, Anna. She is an aspiring photographer so we thought it would be fun to have a mini photo shoot with my best friend KT. The day was so perfect with the best fall weather and seeing great friends again! I went to the Brooklyn Flea this weekend, twice. Once (at Fort Greene location) to see the new booth curated by Lena Corwin, Design Co-op. Go here to see a sample of what was there!! The second time, at DUMBO location, because it was a gorgeous day and I have been slightly obsessed with Brooklyn lately. It is a new place to discover and so far I am loving what I find...

{max wanger photography}

Many of you probably know about Max Wanger Photography because of Joanna's engagement photos...which were perfect and lovely. I was looking through his portfolio and I just adore all the negative space, especially since it's usually a pretty light pink! Here are a few of my favorites.

{whimsy and spice}

Brooklyn confectioners Whimsy and Spice were at the event I attended last Friday with Jennifer Causey, at the Pink Olive Boutique. I'm pretty sure my friend and I ate half the brownies and biscotti! Delicious! You can bet that I will be stocking up on their marshmallows and pumpkin ginger sandwich cookies (above) this season! Especially when the marshmallows come in a variety of flavors, like chocolate and cardamom.

This past Friday I was lucky enough to meet Jennifer Causey, a photographer, who runs one of my favorite blogs, Simply Breakfast. You can find her prints here and here. She was showcasing her work at the Pink Olive Boutique along with Brooklyn Confectioners Whimsy and Spice, who I will post about later! It was my first "blogger night!"
