{max wanger photography}

Many of you probably know about Max Wanger Photography because of Joanna's engagement photos...which were perfect and lovely. I was looking through his portfolio and I just adore all the negative space, especially since it's usually a pretty light pink! Here are a few of my favorites.

{whimsy and spice}

Brooklyn confectioners Whimsy and Spice were at the event I attended last Friday with Jennifer Causey, at the Pink Olive Boutique. I'm pretty sure my friend and I ate half the brownies and biscotti! Delicious! You can bet that I will be stocking up on their marshmallows and pumpkin ginger sandwich cookies (above) this season! Especially when the marshmallows come in a variety of flavors, like chocolate and cardamom.

{inspired by...Jennifer Causey}

This past Friday I was lucky enough to meet Jennifer Causey, a photographer, who runs one of my favorite blogs, Simply Breakfast. You can find her prints here and here. She was showcasing her work at the Pink Olive Boutique along with Brooklyn Confectioners Whimsy and Spice, who I will post about later! It was my first "blogger night!"

Don't you just love Anthropologie...

{R. Wood Studio}

The most beautiful ceramics come from R.Wood Studio in Athens, Georgia. The colors are so bright and happy! Plus...find out how a plain sheet becomes a wedding dress via the studio's online magazine.

{masterpiece}

I was able to see Vermeer's The Milkmaid this weekend, along with a million other people, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was, of course, stunning and so vibrant. Most people commented that it looked like a photograph instead of a painting. See for yourself before November 29th when it goes back to Amsterdam.

{classic books}

I couldn't resist grabbing another copy of Pride and Prejudice with the deluxe edition cover design by Ruben Toledo, who I previously blogged about here. He also illustrated new cover designs for Wuthering Heights and The Scarlet Letter. Get your copies here now!

{illustration love}

These illustrations by Pascal Blanchet are amazing.

{illustration inspiration}

Illustrations done by Sanna Annukka. I love that you can see her Finnish heritage in the illustrations. Visit her shop. {You may notice the second print was a commission done for the British band Keane}
